Perfect fit and replacement at a reasonable price

An easy install for even a novice like myself. Pretty straightforward process...jack the vehicle up, place on jack stands, remove tire, and then loosen bolts on old strut (3 on top, one on bottom). Remove old strut (a crowbar is helpful to wedge between the bottom connecting arm and the back of the strut to push down with slight pressure in order to help the old strut come out easier), then remove the old strut. With the old one out, place it next to the new one to make sure everything matches up good size-wise, and then twist the bottom of the strut to make sure that the bolt hole in the bushing will line up properly when you install. When installing, here is where the the crowbar is handy again, because you can push down slightly on that arm in order to even up the bolt hole on the bottom of the strut. Then put on bolts, and tighten everything up. A small gear wrench is perfect for the tight spot around the bolts at the top. Put tire back on, and then repeat for the other side. Whole process took about 90 mins. I'm no mechanic (my buddy is, and I just assisted him with this job), but I am confident I could have probably handled it myself with my novice expertise. The quality of the Monroe product seems solid too, and they have a lifetime warranty (which is nice).

Being that this product is know for workmanship. And is a little on the higher end of pricing. I plan on keeping this car, so why not spend the extra money. And a it came fully assembled, so that made it easy for your shade tree mechanics to install. And installation was very easy. After I removed the old one. This one slides right into place.
