Really like these struts
Staff Reviewer -
I installed these struts on my 2007 Silverado c1500 with 100k miles. The ride and handling was greatly improved. I would say to nearly new.
The most dramatic improvement is in braking. The nose diving and double bounce when stopping is gone.
They are a snap to install. I'm an old man and it took me less than 2 hours to complete the job.
If you went the spring compressor route and just reeplaced the shocks, it may work just as well. I don't know.
I measured the hieght at the center of the wheel wells before and after the installation, and saw a gain of 1/2".
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Changed the old original struts in 2009 Sierra at 92k miles. Now have a comfortable riding truck again.
Always a bad one in the bunch.

One Strut went in with no issues, the second one not so much. The whole thing was out of alignment, the top 3 bolts fit but was not able to line up the bottom 2. I took the strut back and the replacement was installed in minutes. The guy at the store did not question/or look at the return so that makes me think this is not the first one.
I would use this product again.

Makes the job so much quicker. Make sure to use online coupons and pick up in store as well as manufacturer rebates. Also added front leveling kit at the same time. Would recommend getting alignment done afterwards.
Monroe quick strut assembly

For me the shock strut assembly took the hassle out of having to find a fixture to install just th shocks, plus all parts are new, no reusing anything old, at 100k my old delco shocks had deteriorated in ride quality.
Install was a breeeze, 1.5 hours for me on the garage floor with air tools, but I was a sevice tech for 20 plus years so I may have a slight edge.
I was suprised there was no core on these, guess I will take em to the scrap yard eventually.
