As good as OEM
Staff Reviewer -
Exact replacement for my Mazda5 at half the cost of OEM. It rides like new again. Just be sure to replace the strut mounts and spring insulator at the same time, as those parts wear along with the strut.

Shaft is 2 inches shorter.
The shaft on this is too short. The right side is fine but the left is at least 2 inches shorter than the KYB I took off which was the same length as the original Mazda strut I replaced 10 years ago. I am curious how it will handle now that I have the right one (Monroe) already installed and now I have to go back to a KYB on the left with Monroe valving on the right.
What I have learned from this is, I will never buy a Monroe product ever again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
Impressed with the quality and made in the USA!
These restored the ride quality to better than new in my 2012 Mazda 3i. I was impressed with the quality. Even the Satin black finish is nice. I lubed the steering knuckles with a bit of antiseize and they slide in with a perfect fit. My one criticism is that one of the struts had the label sticker on the bottom part where it slides in. They should train their employees to put the labels on the top half. Minor detail, but I'm a perfectionist. I was pleased to see they are made in the USA. I would buy these again without hesitation.

I would buy this part again.
