Not what I hoped for
Staff Reviewer -
The ride of the truck was not as smooth as I was hoping for, especially considering the cost.

Great price for a really good strut

Changed the struts in about 4 hours (first one took 3 hours). Definitely need a vice and rent a spring compressor. Keep in mind that the nut spins the piston arm so you'll need to reach through the compressed spring w/ pliers and grab it to be able to remove the nut. Start spraying with PB Blaster the day before.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you will need some help moving the wheel/lower control arm down to fit the new uncompressed strut in. I did it by myself by using another bottle jack and blocks to push the wheel down.
There is no need to change coil springs or order the more expensive complete strut (w/ springs installed). Spend that money on something else.
It raised the front end of my truck 2" - the old struts were that bad. Highly recommend realining the front end after this.
Also saved about $100 by finding AAP coupon codes and making two seperate orders.
