Check Vehicle Fit

Monroe® OESpectrum® shock absorbers are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • 1-3/8 inch (34.9 mm) bore (On most applications)
  • 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) diameter piston rod (On most applications)

I got these for my 2-wheel drive, 4 cyl. Ranger. I had been having a hard time finding a shock that not only took the bumps on the road, but also improve its overall ride by making it less rigid with everyday driving. I went through 3 other shocks before i found and kept these. If your looking for a smooth ride, and good handling, even with a load... GET THESE SHOCKS

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

Got these as a replacement for the stocks, have not had a chance to take them off road to see how they compare to the old set but the roads where I live are full of dips and holes. It first they were a bit rough, but seem to have broke in after a few months. Highway driving is smooth. No complaints and a good price.

Installation was very easy. Do your self a favor and borrow a grinder, sawzall or I used a jig saw to cut the top stem off under the bolt.
