Nice Suspension Upgrade
Staff Reviewer -
I purchased these spring loaded shock absorbers for a few reasons. My truck needed a small lift in the rear to correct the ride height. I also wanted more hauling and towing capacity. These shocks increased the amount of tongue weight my truck can handle. They also lifted the rear just enough to correct the ride height. These are a nice bolt-on upgrade.

Put on my 99 Dakota R/T. load capacity was very weak due to factory lowering. They fit fine but do raise the rear about 2" on my stock R/T Dakota, I like it but keep in mind if you like stock R/T ride height. Ran load of wood, that before would have bottomed on frame, with no noticeable change in ride and it no longer turns headlights up into oncoming traffic. Only had for couple weeks but look good so far. [...]

good for increased towing,

had them on my 03 Durango for over a year, had to take the springs off because of uneven tire wear, body roll, and rough ride at highway speed, the last two were partly due to inferior front shocks purchased at the same time(monroe's as well). These shocks let me tow a 1979,19ft camper without any trouble, but with no load, the energy transfer from rear to front can be a little tough to predict.i would suggest mounting them spring down for easy removal when there is no heavy towing to be done, though it is against manufacturer's recommendation.
