Warranty Details (Limited Lifetime Warranty)
Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shocks include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding.

Product Features:
  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD - Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads, heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission, see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING - Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE - OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE - Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE - Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For Improved Ride & Handling, Helps Maintain Tire To Road Contact By Reducing Aeration - On Most Applications
  • 5/8 nitrocarburized rod for long service life.
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • Upper Mount Type: Cross Pin Mount - Closed Ended, 5/16" Hole ID (Both Ends) X 2.7/8" Pin Length (Hole Center to Center)

Excellent Shock, a Little Work to Instal
Excellent performance, corrects rear end sag without replacing leaf spring unit. Fairly easy to install, trick is to place truck on jack stands at rear axle, remove both old shocks, then bolt on upper ends of new shocks, then lift truck from tail with jack, just shy of lifting off jacks stands. Then use a few short 2x4's to lift/wedge shock ends into lower bolt area. Only took about and hour to install.

Just Instatled..a challenge to do so
Just know these are not compressed and may give you quite a challenge installing. Purchased these for an 03 Sport Trac, definitely difficult to install and had to use a floor jack and pry bars to compress the shock due to the spring to get the install to happen. So, again probably not for the novice. I did drive for about 5 miles to test the difference in ride and definitely better and would have rated better if the shock/spring were compressed to allow for an easier install. As for ride, hauling and longevity that will be for another review.

inexpensive fix for sagging leaf springs
Staff Reviewer -
I bought these to give my sagging rear end a boost they were easy to install and alot cheaper than new springs. i have not towed a trailer since installing them but it should really be an improvement.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
great product
Staff Reviewer -
This is a great product. My 98 ford explorer was sagging in the rear so I installed this shocks. The ride height was corrected and the truck looks great. It makes the ride quality a little more bumpy but i actually prefer it that way. This is a great product if you haul heavy items. the main reason i bought these shocks was so I could haul my trailer and not put strain on my truck,. zI definitely would recommend this product to anybody looking for performance shocks. They will outlast any regular gas shocks
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Excellent shock obsorber for the money
Staff Reviewer -
Great shocks for the money ( come in pairs ) Used on Ford Sport Trax. Raised the rear end by 3 inches. Helped with pulling camper.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
GREAT SHOCKS...
Fantastic shocks. put these on a week before I installed the front shocks and I the ride changed dramatically. Lifted the back end quite a bit. Ford made it very difficult to get at the nuts but if you havethe right tools and knowledge, you should be able to handle this project.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
