Ideal for light trucks that that tow or carry varying loads, Monroe load adjusting shocks include a heavy gauge calibrated spring that adjusts to road and weight conditions to provide extra control when operating conditions get more demanding.

Product Features:
  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD - Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads, heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission, see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING - Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE - OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE - Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life

Best Upgrade Yet
These are definitely an upgrade to the very worn out shocks I had. I purchased this truck used and it was taken care of but not with the best parts. The ride is so good and tight now I'm no longer considering adding a rear anti sway bar kit. I paired these up with some Monroe Reflex Monotubes in the front and the truck rides like new to me (I know I didn't buy it new). Bumpy back roads used to throw the truck all over the road. Now it begs me to go faster as it just hugs any surface. Install was as easy as any other shock. The coil spring didn't get in the way at all. 2000 S10 4x4 "stock" suspension - just well-upgraded.

A Bit Disappointed
Was a real task to install, the shocks weren't received or packaged in a compressed state or tied as some are. I wanted the back of the truck raised up more than my air shocks but these didn't raise enough in my opinion. I wanted a no sag rear end even when just the truck bed was loaded these sagged a bit. Most reviewers convinced me to buy them for towing I think my air shocks were better. They are now installed on my truck so I will just have to deal with them now.

Replaced shocks on 2004 Sonoma 4X4 Quad Cab. I haul motorcycles and the like in the small bed. Old shocks were factory with 87000 miles. They were very tired. It took about 10 minutes to replace. They raised the rear end slightly but when I installed Two Reflex shocks (more difficult to replace) on the front, things leveled out. So far so good. Took the truck on washboard dirt road and the truck seemed to hook up better. As to date I am impressed. Hopefully they will hold up.

I have a 1998 Chevy S10 the bed was sagging and looking very worn-out. Not any more looks great and feels great. they also added about two inchs of lift in the rear.Very happy. good buy!
