Replaced the worn out shocks on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the ride was not improved at all! These shocks are NOT for any ride that has some weight to it. I drive in town and on the country roads to and from town-NO OFFROAD AT ALL! A way too soft of a ride for ANY confident feel in driving. I should have bought a better grade shock, but it advertises for use on trucks and SUVs-next time I will know better!

10,000 mi and a year and a half later on my Grand Cherokee and these shocks are done for! Banging, noisy, and sloppy I now need a new set of shocks. Monroe used to be a trusted brand but that isn't the case anymore. Buy another brand if you want something that lasts.

My 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee stock shocks were at the end of their life, so I replaced them with these good replacements. Make sure you use some anti-seize on the hardwear,it makes todays forethought into tommorows hindsight for better wrench-turning!

                A:

Hi Drew, glad to assist you! This Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber (Part No. 59387) is an exact fit for your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0l. However, I am unable to locate whether this part can be used with a 2 inches coil spring booster lift or not. For more information, I would suggest that you contact the Monroe directly at 1-855-786-8883 and they would be in a better position to help you.

              • CUSTOMER CARE

                A:

Hi Bryan, my answer to your question on the Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber - Part No. 59387 is that, if you feel any discomfort with the suspension, it could be due to some errors in the shock absorbers installed. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
