USE PENETRATING OIL ON OLD BOLTS

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

This is an easy install and they seem to be a noticeable improvement. A quick word of caution. I have a 97 Cherokee Sport and the upper bolts on the rear shocks are notorious for breaking off. I broke one off on each side accidentally. Use penetrating oil and soak those bolts before attempting removal. Breaking those bolts turns a 20 minute job into a 2 hour job.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Easy to install on my Jeep Cherokee. The old shocks were really squishy. And I replaced the back shocks with these and the front with corresponding Monroe front shocks. I also drive a Heavy duty truck with super stiff suspension (Might as well be steel rods). These make my Jeep drive comfortably. Should take 20 min per side.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Installed both front and rears on a 2000 cherokee and what a difference. Had the regular gas-matics on before and one blew within a year. These are definitely a firmer ride and got rid of a lot of body roll.

I would not hesitate to recommend.

                    A:

To replace the rear shock absorber on your Jeep Cherokee, you would need upper, lower mounting bolt and bracket. The tools which would be required are Lug nut wrench, Hydraulic jack, Ratchet and Socket set.
