On my second in 3 years.
My wife heard the clunking noise on the left side. At first I thought it was the ball joints but the noise was up up high under the hood. To my surprise the strut had busted through the top and the spring was twisted in an oblong way. Disappointed in the overall quality, where a large flat washer or thicker stop opening where the center nut attaches would make this last longer. Might be rebuildable but why chance it. Consider the next grade up, save the trouble of buying it twice in 3 years. Or of course, go OEM. Watch out for pot holes.

not put together right!!!
I picked up a pair for a dodge minivan for the front. The passenger side went in fairly well. But the drivers side strut coil spring was dangerously misaligned and the main coil nut not tightened all the way. This caused noises after assembly. could not get alignment due to this and replacement is needed. Advance auto should CHECK ALL BOXED PARTS BEFORE SELLING THEM!!! they should pay for lost time in repairs, travel to their stores, etc. disapointed.....

LIke new performance
Verified Buyer -
The orignal assembly was worn but not wore out or broken.
It was suggested to use the assembly for a high mileage vehicle as to give back some that new car feel in handling, vehicle response in improved posture during braking and turning.
Both of the Front left and right were replaced along with the rear shocks.
New tires also installed with an alignment giving a stable ride.
