Monroe Complete Strut Assembly: Includes Strut, Coil Spring, and Mount

Had a certified mechanic in a local shop install these for me. I saved money by providing the correct part for my car. These replaced the stock equipment at 140,000 miles. Car handles great now. The improvement in the feel of the ride is night and day. The vehicle had the front struts replaced with Monroe at about 120,000 miles. The 'stance' of the car is also visibly improved. I would recommend these.

No special tools (spring compressor) required.

Product works just fine. Might actually be too good, I don't have any technical knowledge to back this theory up but after replacing my rear struts it feels as if there's added stress on the ones up front so now they're getting noisy too. Installation was very easy, but taking out the old ones was an absolute nightmare. If you live in a climate with nasty winters like Ohio, expect to have a lot of issues doing this job yourself if your vehicle was manufactured by a company as pants on head stupid as mine. Sheared the head off the pinch bolt on one side and had to take the wheel hub off completely and drill it out. Destroyed the 13" lateral link through bolt on both sides trying to get it out. Took a lot of grinding, air hammering, penetrant and a sledgehammer/punches. Replaced it with all-thread since the bolts are $20 each if you can even find them. If you have to remove your wheel speed sensor make sure you check if you can just disconnect it from the interior before fighting with it where it attaches at the wheel hub, those things seize up badly and aren't cheap to replace. Anyways literally none of that is the fault of Monroe or their product. It definitely works great and definitely makes a tough repair job less tough. Good price too, wish they made assemblies like this for all of my vehicles.
