My front shocks were 'shot'.....spring compressed and ride was terrible. These fit perfectly in my 2006 Ford F150 and the ride is great now.....just springing down the road again!

Dont waste your money
I was in a tight situation and bought a pair of these after my 07 F150 XLT 4WD failed Pa Inspection. It had a cracked spring on one of the struts, at the time these were all I could afford. Hind sight is always 20/20 as they say. I should have waited and bout the "Quick Strut" Its loaded with a OEM type stuts. After 6 months I noticed the truck was bobbing a lot on highway..Disappointed big time

How do you install the econo-matic complete strut assembly by monroe? Is it difficult? Do i need special tools? I have a 2006 ford F-150 XLT with a 5.4 motor.

With reference to your inquiry on the Monroe Econo-Matic Complete Strut Assembly - Part No. 181361, to install the front strut assembly on your 2006 Ford F-150 XLT, you will need a spring compressor to compress and hold the spring while you remove the top center nut and slide out the old strut, then slide in the new strut and re-install the nut. These are the only tool need to install the strut assembly on your vehicle.
