Every Melling high volume oil pump is engineered and assembled to the highest production standards from high quality materials. All Melling high volume oil pumps use the latest in gear and gerotor technology to provide the highest level of quality and performance. High volume gears are machined to close tolerances to ensure proper engine pressure and correct, efficient pump operation. End plates are precision ground for maximum wear resistance. Every Melling oil pump is individually tested for pressure and flow under conditions designed to duplicate actual engine operating conditions.

When having to replace your oil pump, I strongly recommend replacing the OEM pump with this Melling. You will see a great difference in oil pressure and engine life.

Don't waste your time.
Will not work with stock oil pan. If you try to install this on a Jeep with a stock oil pan you will have clearance problems with the oil pump housing and the pick up tube. To my knowledge I do not know anyone who makes an aftermarket deep oil pan for the 4.0L I6. Just stick with the stock replacement unless you have the means to modify your oil pan.

would buy again.
Don't know what that other guy was talking about.Installed pump and fits fine. Pan goes right on. Got about 60lbs of oil pressure. That other person must need to get a mechanic to put part on for him.
