Just a simple standard replacement pump

Had to replace pan gasket, so while it was there I replaced the pump,cleaned the screen pickup tube and made sure it was level with the pan.Easy job for anybody to do, lined up perfectly with the guide pins.Packed the pump with vaseline, so it would prime itself fast. Its a one bolt holds it secure to rear main bearing cap, you can't mis-align it.Just make sure your siphon tube and screen are aligned flat with the pan.

The oil pump may be the possible cause of the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
So all i have to do is dump the oil pan and wham the Oil pump is right there and easily accesiable? few screws and new oil and im off to the races?

This could possibly be the problem. However, with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer.
Where is the oil pump on a 1991 Oldsmobile Silhouette?

It should be inside the engine, most likely accessable from the bottom if the oil pan is removed.
