The platic smoth pulley is a good bit smaller than the metal pulley im replacing. Is that normal? I ask because of the physical size and will provide less tension on the belt and because mine had a used thermostat gasket in the box that I took in and showed the guy at the counter who stated must have been returned as a wrong size and the customer left it in the box???

Hi Ernie, I'm glad to help you! We can only look up by the vehicle. Since you didn't mention the specific vehicle, it's hard to tell for sure. To give you the correct information I would need the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle.
Is this Litens belt tensioner put together with shoulder bushings or is it one of those cheap contraptions that uses a shouldered bolt to hold the idler pully in which causes the pully to not spin freely & disintegrate exactly 1 week after the warranty expires?
