Very useful for pulling boots.
Probably will not be used too often but it works well at pulling boots off plugs and other parts. Useful also for electrical connectors. Might also be useful for moving wires around household electrical boxes.

Spend the extra money and buy a larger adjustable pair!!
I was very disappointed with these. The grippers are really too small to effectively grip the boot. The length between the grippers and the joint of the pliers is way too short. They are awkward and ineffective. Do yourself a favor and look at larger adjuster pairs of boot pliers. These are not worth the money.

These pliers replaced another similar set that was misplaced. I had them for years and worked well in many applications. They work well preventing damage to boots during repairs.
Saved another of skin.
It worked really well. My only complaint is that it was too long to get at the very back wire due to limited space and AC hoses making it difficult to use at either angle.

Good in a pinch, was the only one on the shelf, did the job
Probably would have opted for a different boot puller if I had multiple options, but it got the job done, something my bare hands was not capable of doing on my 20 year old truck. A little foresight and I likely would have ordered a different model online from AAP or AMZN, but if this is the only option, it will likely get the job done for you.
