Warranty Details (LIMITED LIFETIME REPLACEMENT)
Removes battery terminals and bolted on wiper arms. A dual purpose puller. Easily removes stuck battery terminals Tighten knurled cone to force jaws under the cable clamp. Turn center screw to lift clamp off terminal. Also removes bolted on windshield wiper arms that fir over a tapered spline. The puller screw pad is designed to fit the top of the spline post for easy pulling.

What is the maximum distance between the two 'forks' and the retracted threaded 'push' rod?

Hi Josh, happy to help you! This Lisle Battery Terminal and Wiper Arm Puller (Part No. LIS54150) will one inch from the clamping forks to the spindle on the end of the removal screw. For more information, I would suggest that you contact the Lisle directly at 712-542-5101 and they would be in a better position to help you.
Is the knurled knob made of metal or plastic?
