PART LOOKED GOOD IN BOX UNTIL,INSTALLING UNIT. MOUNTING SCREWS WERE CROSS THREADED FROM MFG. HAD TO USE OLD PARTS TO MAKE THIS WORK. :0(

Advance auto parts show three part numbers that are compatible for 1965 Chevelle.
A 1965 Chevelle has a splined steering box shaft size that is 13/16" in diameter.Part numbers 200 and 202 are for a 3/4 inch splined steering box. Part number 201 is 13/16", the correct rag joint. The riveted pins are both the same size. Originally one pin was smaller. The steering flange will have to be reamed out on one side to accommendate the new pin size.

This part fits sectional gears that have a notch in the shaft on one side. If you are replacing your coupler i would suggest taking the old one with you to a store that has all three part #'s in stock (200, 201, & 202)

Perfect Fit
If you have purchased the remanufactured power steering gear box (27-7501), then this coupling (Coupler 201) fits perfect. I initially tried using my original coupler from my 1971 C10 Truck, but it broke while trying to force it to work. The same thing happened again once I tried a junk yard 1987 C10 original coupling. This one from Advance Auto Part (Coupler 201) was very easy to install, and again, a perfect fit. I strongly recommend using this replacement.
