Lost gas mileage using these filters

I have a 2014 x5 w/ 4.4 twin turbo test in these filters on and off the car with the stock filters several times to determine I was losing up to 4 miles per gallon, using your K&N filters. That's sad considering

Lost 4 miles per gallon using these

I have a 2014 X5 50i w/ 4.4 twin turbo and I tested this three different times I would lose 4 miles per gallon when I use these filters when I put the stock ones back on, I would go up 4 miles per gallon. It makes you wonder what is going on with these air filters.

Could not fit them in, and not instructions

Please, please , show us some instructions and are they left and right. They did not fit, I tried so hard, I became so frustrated I returned them back
