Comments about Imperial Plate and Fin Style Trans Cooler 3/4" x 9-1/2" x 11" Heavy Duty:

Add says a direct fit for my 2004 Neon but I had to make fit on an angle using tie straps to secure it in place! But using anyway!

Comments about Imperial Plate and Fin Style Trans Cooler 3/4" x 9-1/2" x 11" Heavy Duty:

I have an 04 Z71 Tahoe w/ ~185k. I added this because my stock cooler sprung a leak when something bounced up from the road and struck it while driving. I noticed a few small drips of trans fluid under the vehicle the next day and I said, "uh oh!" Fortunately it was just this and I only lost about a .5 quart of fluid. If you have a Haynes manual with a little know how, this is an easy install. What a relief. Also it pays dividends to always do a pre-drive check. If I wouldn't have caught this issue, I probably would've fried my transmission because all of the fluid would've leaked out.

    ATV Replacement

    By

Comments about Imperial Plate and Fin Style Trans Cooler 3/4" x 9-1/2" x 11" Heavy Duty:

Used this cooler to replace the missing factory one on my Polaris 330 ATV. Made an adapter plate to fit to the fan housing. Works great, beats the $300.00 price for an OEM cooler.

This cooler can be used on anything. what I did on my truck is cut the lines to the original one and used the supplied hoses to to route to the new one. There is a Jeep kit that can be purchased if you want plug and play.
I would recommend putting the cooler in series with the other one. Extra hose and clamps would be needed to do that.
On my Ram there is a check ball in the line going to the bottom of the radiator that can cause restrictions and overheating. You may have the same setup being Jeep is Chrysler. If it has been a while since the filter and fluid has been changed, I would get it serviced or do it yourself. It is pretty easy to do. Takes an hour to change the filter and fluid.
The best place to install the new cooler is in front of the A/C cooler. It looks like a radiator. If there is room.
You can check for flow through the cooler by cracking the line coming out of the top of the radiator and after the cooler. Do this with the Jeep in Drive. Have someone help you if you do this check. Safety First......
Parking brake on and someone with their foot on the brake. Chalk block the wheels. Stand to the side of Jeep in case it moves forward.

If the part selector says it will fit, then it should. It's basically a universal replacement transmission cooler. It comes with a rubber hose you cut to length to connect your transmission lines. It's mounted with these plastic cable ties that you hook through the where the old transmission cooler was mounted and through the new cooler's mounting slots. To be honest, I'm not too thrilled with how it connected to my 2000 Silverado, but it works and is mounted snuggly. It's a complete replacement, not used in tandem. Hope this helps.
