I am so glad AAP offers these filters!
I was glad to find out that AAP was now offering these elite performance oil filters from Fram. I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent and a 2018 Subaru Outback that both use this filter and so far the results have been excellent. The large teardrop inlet holes on the baseplate make a difference as does the Total Grip texture material that covers the can and makes it easier to twist the filter on on off. I will be buying a lot of these in the future!

I will NEVER use this store again!
Sold me the wrong filter for my car. Then told me to thread it on. I told them it didn't fit. I've been changing my own oil for over 40 years, I think I know if a filter would fit. She wanted me to BUY a new filter. Then refused to deal with me, when I was complaining in front of her customers. She told me her name was "Mouse"? The other girl was polite and traded my defective filter for an original one at NO charge. After the inconvenience of it all, night falling, lock and unlock my tools etc. The new (original) filter worked within minutes. I have friends and 3 sons that after my story, will NOT shop her again. They lost a customer of 35 years, for NOT standing behind the products that they sell.

The FRAM titanium filter was easy to install on my 08 4500. The 20,000 mile coverage is very appealing and adds another layer of protection for a high mileage engine.

I normally use Royal Purple or Purolator Boss filters and Amsoil 15w40 in my Duramax. The Titanium has holes in the core instead of louvers so I gave it a try. I also prefer the backed filter media for durability and strength. Good oil pressure at start-up and running down the road. I think I would buy again, seems like a quality product. I change at 5,000 miles not 20,000 so that claim I'll never know.
