Great Value!
Priced a blower motor through the dealer, it was @ $400!!! I could replace this one 5 times for that kind of money! Took @ 2 minutes to remove the fan fins from the old motor and install on the new one. Lined up perfectly with factory opening. What a bargain!

Miss-listed
Item is not a fit for the car it specifies. This is a common mis-listing an is not the only company that has screwed this one up.

I'm done with Advanced

Descriptions said "perfect match" . It was not. Plug was different. Went to take it back and NO REFUNDS on electronics. Last purchase with Advanced.
Seems better than OEM

Original motor would only run, slowly, by banging on it each time it was turned on. I got response at all four speeds, so that meant switch and resistor panel were okay. Ordered this new blower motor online and picked up at store. Took about forty five minutes to remove old and install new. This was in heavy clothes, 35 degrees, and raining, with half of me hanging out of car. I like that it has a metal housing, where OEM was plastic. The included plug adapter was needed, and worked perfectly. Only problem was removing fan from old motor without damage to fan. Took a lot of heavy tapping with punch and hammer, which destroyed old motor bearings. New housing lacked a tab for a wiring clip to hook to, but solved that with a nylon wiring tie. Once done, nice and quiet with good airflow. The wife's car has good heat again!

What wheel would i need to order to fit this? Do you have a part number for the compatible wheel?
Verified Reply - Panda
Hello Shanna, I will be happy to assist you with your question. We do not list just the wheel by its self. Generally you would reuse the fan wheel from the original. If you can not we list a blower motor with the wheel included, part number 35201 http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/toughone-or-factory-flanged-vented-ccw-blower-motor-w-wheel-35201/19010162-P .
The fan would work intermittently and finally doent come on at all but i hear the system come on under the hood when i turn the AC on. Is this the part i need replaced ? Should the wiring be relaced too ?
Open Reply - Vincent
This could possibly be the problem. It is better to replace wires with the motor to avoid intermittence.
Where is this part located? And how do you get to it, to replace it?
Open Reply - DIY Daniel
It is located on the back of the glove box and underneath the dash board inside the vehicle.

how do you remove the wheel from the motor. I cant get the wheel off the old motor. Can I get a replacement wheel to go on a new motor?

Yes, we sell replacement wheels for the blower motors. In order for us to further assist you would you please provide us with the year, make, model, and engine size of your application?

Take retaining clip off. You need pliers because it is really stiff. Then just hold the fins and bang at the protruding spindle with a hammer or something until the spindle is pushed down flush. Then I took a flat-head screw driver in-between the fin assembly and the motor and kind of pryed it up until I had room to fit my fingers. Once there was room for my fingers, I put the motor on the ground with the fin assembly facing up. I then steped down on the motor corner brackets and pulled up on the fin assembly until it slid off. Nothing to it Just gotta pull it off.

I removed the retaining clip from the top of the shaft/blower fan. Then I sprayed the exposed tip of the shaft above the fan blades with WD40. I held on to the blades while letting the weight of the motor hang below and used a hammer to heavy tap/beat down on the exposed metal tip to drive it out of the fan blades. Be careful not to damage the blades by missing the metal shaft or continuing to beat on it after the tip is at the same height as the fan blades. Then I set the motor on a bench and used 2 LARGE (1 1/2") box wrenches and slid them in between the motor and the fan, one on each side, and twisted them from flat to verticle at the same time. That last move pushed the fan far enough off the shaft that just a little bit of force pulled it the rest of the way off. The entire process took @ 1 minute! I had the same hesitation about re-using the fan blades but was unable to find a motor that included the fan and had no choice but to figure out how to make it work.
