I am so glad AAP offers these filters!
I was glad to find out that AAP was now offering these elite performance oil filters from Fram. I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent and a 2018 Subaru Outback that both use this filter and so far the results have been excellent. The large teardrop inlet holes on the baseplate make a difference as does the Total Grip texture material that covers the can and makes it easier to twist the filter on on off. I will be buying a lot of these in the future!

make sure you have a filter wrench that fits this
Unless you have access to a lift, you are not going to have enough leverage to spin this filter on by hand to the appropriate tightness of 3/4 to 1 complete turn after seating the gasket. Found out the hard way--old oil filter came of easily with 65 mm wrench, this filter does not fit the wrench, nor does a combo 65-67 mm I bought after going back to my AAP. The grippy stuff Fram spays on the filter completely changes the profile. Im guessing a lisle #63600 Import Filter Wrench would have worked better.

There is No other filter like it !
If you take oil filtration seriously then this is the filter you have been looking for , 99% @ 20 microns , two ply synthetic blend media with wire backing , unique high flow inlet holes , silicon drain back valve , it has it all plus more , sure grip coating covering the whole can , 20,000 mile filter

It didn't have the seal with it. By the time I realized it I was in the middle of changing my oil and couldn't take it back. I should have known better and looked when I bought it,

I am buying this for the second change.
This filter fits my 2012 Enclave and my Sierra 1500. Talk about one stop shopping. The poor guy who says it didn't fit must've made a mistake somewhere. I've been buying parts here for years and if it says it fits, it fits. 2nd oil change on the Sierra with this filter and the Buick has one coming up in the spring. Same filter again for both.
