perfect fit for 1996 Avalon
Had to replace the oil pan on my brother in law's 1996 Avalon due to stripped drain plug and leaking gasket. Ordered all of the parts on-line and had them shipped to the house. Removal of the existing pan was simple enough, no obstructions to remove prior to dropping the pan. Simply opened the oil filler cap up top and then drained the engine oil. then loosend/removed the 12 bolts holding the pan in place and had to use a hammer to break the existing seal. The new pan and gasket were a perfect fit. Cleaned the bolts, then placed a little Permatex Ultra Blue on the gasket and on the bolts. cleaned the mating surface on the engine and bolted everything back up. So far.... all is DRY under the car!
