O-Ring for Ford TFI Distributor housing

This O-ring was the correct part for the Ford TFI distributor housing. As for the previous reviewer's account, this O-ring is too small for a ford thermostat??? possible listing error. No problems if you use the part for what it was intended for. Joe

I ran into the same problem as did Dennis. I have a 89 Mustang GT with the 5.0 engine. Not having to have replaced the thermostat until now, I decided to do so along with some engine upgrades. I ordered the thermo and gaskets over the internet. When searching for both, this O ring is the last item on that list. Some vehicles do use just an O ring and or a water outlet gasket as well. I consider this a screw up on the part of Advance. Also, it took me a half hour to be handed my preordered parts which I had initiated about 2-3 hours prior to going there.

Does not fit

This O ring came up on a search for a thermostat for a 1997 F350 5.8 Windsor, but it claims to be a distributor mounting gasket. The O ring is 1.5 inches in outside diameter. It is way too small for a thermostat, and loks way too large for the distributor mounting. I would buy with caution.
