2.4 Ecotech water pump & thermostat housing full seal set
Verified Buyer -
This seal set is used on GM Ecotech 2.4, 2.2 and possibly other size Ecotech motor's when replacing the water pump or opening up the tube connection between the Water Pump & the Thermostat Housing/Water Inlet to the head.
This kit comes with all the seals for the job. I've read several reviews of this product which say it does not contain the rectangle seal for the thermostat housing end to the block and you have to reuse your old flattened one again, NOT SO, It's enclosed in the seal kit. The seal, that particular seal is not rectangular in the package. The seal is unshaped and round. It looks like a miniature / micro serpentine belt. It's flat and wide with almost teeth like appearance, thus a micro serpentine belt is my best description. You'll make the connection when you pull out your old seal, it will become crystal clear.
Coat the new one with vaseline between your fingers and work into the rectangle water inlet location. You will notice that it sticks up higher then it looks like it should, No worries, when you evenly tighten it down, it becomes flush and should be well sealed after torqued down properly.
I also recommend a light coat of Vaseline on both the pipe end seals to prevent tearing or abrading while inserting back into the housing and to the rear of the pump.
This is the best quality and most complete set I have found, outside of buying each OEM seal separately from GM! (Cha-ching) $$$$
Hope this was helpful and saves someone a little time, money and grief. Good Luck!
Don't tackle a GM Ecotec 2.2 without this kit.

This gasket set has all of the possible seals and o-rings that you would need to change out a GM Ecotec 2.2, because you don't want to be in the middle of this job, and find out that your water pump didn't come with all of the gaskets you needed.
Good quality and no problems with fit.

Perfect fit and all necessary gaskets were included to do the waterpump replacement job on the Ecotech engine in my Saturn LW200.
