Exact fit for my jeep
Perfect fit on my '97 cherokee XJ 4.0L. Added a thin coat of RTV to both sides and it hasn't leaked since installation 2 weeks ago. Would recommend.

Wrong Part for 1998
Clearly states on packet that this part 35582 is for 242 engine 1994-1995. It will not fit the 1998 hole configuration.
I have to return this and I am taking my water pump to check gasket size this time.

Doesn't fit properly
This gasket didn't fit the water pump properly. I had to trim it in two spots where it would jam up on the body of the water pump. After trimming it, it worked fine and didn't leak but when I buy felpro products I expect them to just work.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
