Felpro Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set

I bought this setup from Advance for my 1997 Nissan hardbody pickup. It's a blue rubber gasket with the two doughnut half-circle pieces for the front and back of the head. First thing I noticed was the high quality of the the blue section and the extreme toughness of the doughnuts. It worked extremely well and sealed that valve cover up good. Would I buy it again? You bet. Was installed into the truck you see in the pictures. You can see the mileage in one of the pictures. This should tell you that I'm not going to install just any old junk into a classic truck like this (22 years old) that has such low miles on it. No way.

quick easy replacement of OEM gasket

I had over 200K miles on my 1995 Nissan Hardbody before finally replacing the valve cover gasket. I noticed a leak from the side of the cover, so I knew it was time to finally get it replaced. I called around pricing what mechanics would charge me to do the job. Needless to say, I decided to try and do the the job myself since the gasket alone was only about $15. The hardest part was just removing the cover itself, which really wasn't hard at all. All in all, I attempted to do the job myself, and I got it done within about an hour or two. It was worth it considering it fixed the leak, and I saved a lot of money too! I had about $15 to $20 into the repair between the gasket and the silicone tube. Much cheaper than taking it to a mechanic and paying probably $100 to $200 for LABOR. Oh, and lastly, the pride of doing it right yourself is priceless. I'm sure everyone has had the experience of taking their vehicle to a mechanic, getting charged out the you know what, and the problem still not be fixed properly...

Took a hour to get it apart and cleaned up and its a Sunday and the kit was ordered they never have nothing in-stock and it came with i half moon grommet not two Imagine that. So had to put silicone on them and pray for the best.
