Correct length, locating ball-end
These are 5/16" bolts, but have the ball-end to supposedly prevent over-tightening. They also have a washer-type surface and thread-locker applied. The spec is just 11 ft-pounds for a Vortec V8 intake... medium-snug is 20-30 ft-lbs, so be careful (I went ~25)
The previous owner had used hardware store grade 2 bolts, see photo. Thread engagement is about the same and they worked too.

Had to reuse one of the old bolts. One of the new bolts was badly milled. So if I had to reuse one and things went okay, the next time I'll reuse all 8 and forego buying a new bolt set to save money.

Definitely but these when replacing gaskets or your intake manifold. They come with thread sealant preapplied. No leaks.
