I put this new plug on the end of the cam while doing a new valve cover seal. I had to remove the end camshaft cap to replace mine the new one has three pronounced ribs on it, on the old cap the ribs were almost completely flat so I believe the oil was seeping by. If you are replacing this you should replace the valve cover seal and four spark plug seals while doing this Advanced Auto sales ultra gray permatex which is very helpful similar to Honda Bond.

Buy this instead of the OEM CAM PLUG!
So I had the typical 1.7L engine oil leak from the cam plug beside the EGR valve. I researched what I needed, found this and bought it. When i got it out and did a side by side comparison of the old one, they were different. However, after installing it i noticed that this one provides a MUCH better seal than the old plug did. The old plug was held in by 4 small tabs. They become weak and brittle over time and eventually leaks. This one is held in by a complete double walled side that goes in AND around the metal that the old 4 tabs were held in by. This seals it with the double wall, AND has 2 rings to seal it up even more. Highly recommend. Installation was a bit more difficult than the old plug, just use a very small screwdriver to start the plug and work that lip in and around the metal.
