Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 32 oz, Quart:

This is by far the best DIY bed liner material I've used so far. I'm in and out of my vehicle all the time: mud, sand, water, etc. and it takes the beating all of my Marines can give it. Definitely better than the Herculiner and others. Goes on much easier, very consistent, and doesn't dry out like other brands. If you want a little more texture, you can add fine sand to it and it goes on just the same! Definitely a MUST BUY if you're going to do this yourself!

Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 32 oz, Quart:

I used it on a 1968 Lincoln trunk,it had alot of rust and pitted spots throughout..I brushed it on instead of rolling it on,it went on thicker but only covered the floor of the trunk,so i may have to grab a gallon next time to do the interior, under carpets and fender area..
I prepared the area with a wire brush on a drill, and used fiberglass long strand hair to fill in rust holes. It covered the area great, and seemed to also fill in the dents caused by years of rust.
I like the fact it went on smoothly, unlike other products i seen that had grit,or a bumpy texture.
The smoother texture looks great and almost made the trunk look like new.
I hadnt seen any Cons about this product yet,I will get a gallon next time and finish the trunk and floor of the car.

Comments about Duplicolor Bed Armor, DIY Truck Bed Liner, Black, 32 oz, Quart:

I have no clue if the quart I got was just bad or what but when I fist opened it up after shaking it for a good 3-5 minutes there was nothing but a large mass in the center of the paint that wouldn't break up. I took a paint stick to it and broke it up realizing this was the texture stuff. Mixing it the best I can and even resealing it and shaking it again didn't help much. All that happened when I tried to roll it on was these large clumps went everywhere and it wouldn't mix up at all. So I did my best to coat the rocker panels I bought this for but it is mostly just paint now. Just very upset on how poor this stuff worked. Again not sure if this was a fresh can or what but I would def take it to a paint store and ask them to professionally mix this stuff as it was near impossible if this is the way this stuff is to get it mixed right. I didn't even finish doing my trailer because it was so bad.

how big of holes will it fill?
Asked on 7/5/2017 by tphelps from 28027

            1 answer

            • A:

I have used the Bed Armor bed liner. I would recommend that it can only fill up to a 1/4 inch hole in diameter.
I did not have any holes in my truck bed but when applying the product it seemed to be thick enough to easily cover a 1/4 hole. I would use Bondo for larger holes then cover it with the Armor bed liner to be sure it does not sag when drying.

I know one can covers 18 square foot. Would this be enough for a 8 foot bed on a 1997 chevy c1500. Also will it be ok to put on tailgate to. And how easy is it to mess up. If I think it will work I will buy it in Waynesboro thanks.

Hello Charles. Happy to help with your question. If the crack is small this liner may work. This liner is rigid when it is down and flexing may cause it to crack. How well this product will work varies on the size of the crack.
