I installed this in a 02 Ford Excursion. This is the same setup as a F250. It fit perfectly. I was concerned about the fit because of some older reviews but I had no trouble. The u joint has plenty of clearance from the stud. The ball joint pressed in fine with the press I rented from Advance. Overall a very Happy camper!

Absolutely the worst buy
Bought these thinking I was going to save money, wrong. Had the old ones pressed out, and the driveworks upper and lower pressed in. I went to go put it back together and realized that the u-joint on my solid axle F250 has hitting the top of the stud for the lower. Tried everything I could think of to fix it, nothing. Went to Advanced and asked to see the drive works, moog, and brought the old ones with me. Compared all of them and the driveworks were atleast an eighth or more of an inch higher than the moog and the stock. If they are wrong on the length what else are they wrong on. Went to go take them out and had a time just to get them out. Do yourself a favor and buy the moog. I will be getting a refund!!

This was a great price so I was a little worried. I read the other review about it hitting the drive shaft so I decided to try it but will grab my grinder also. It fit fine except the hight. it is about an 1/8 inch or so to tall. after installing the knuckle back into the axel tube I took my grinder and ground down the top area that has the slot in it. make sure to put a rag in the Axel tube to keep metal out. everything else worked fine. they have grease fittings that are nice. some don't have them.

I ordered two upper ball joints online - picked up at store. One was "OEM" brand, the other - "Driveworks". The DW ball joint did not fit for my 2005 Ford Excursion (4 WD). The diameter of the base was too large to fit the axle flange. The OEM fit fine. I returned the ball joint with no questions asked and decided to upgrade to the Moog, paying the difference. I guess i will see which lasts longer.
