Purchased this one to replace a competitors I installed about 5 years ago. When I removed the old one to compare I found they had the same tag from Taiwan and PN, figured their weren't too many companies making these so I assumed it would be a rebadged part. Installation was fine and all the needed parts were included except rivets for the speaker. Last one lasted 5 years this one lasted about 5 days. Cable snapped with the window all the way down so now it will be even tougher to replace again. Could be a fluke but I hope the next one last a little bit longer. Another issue is when a part is purchased online the local store cannot just exchange it, they have to refund the original purchase and have you buy the new one. The net gain is the same but if you had any online promotions applied you may have to argue to get them applied to the second purchase.
Broken upon opening
The item was damaged with plastic fingers broken. Was told that was the only one in stock but if I came in after 2pm they would have a replacement for me. I came in after 2 and there was no replacement. Had to get a refund instead

Didn't fit right but it worked with modifications
The holes that hold the wire harness are different shape so you have to cut all the old ties off and put new ones on. And the white piece that slides into the latch was in the wrong spot I had to remove the white clip, install into door first then put the regulator on and make new holes in the white piece. Also had a rivet that was not finished off and would have poked through the door panel, had to cut that off... Just junky quality from dorman

Fit but with mods
2009 sonata gls front drivers side power window regulator cable broke. Mods needed. Reuse L bracket from old part. Bracket on new part too short to reach screw hole in interior door pull. Drilling and riveting or bolting required. Elongate round holes to fit oem slotted style wire harness clips. I used a round file and the oem clips. Used rivets to re-mount the speaker. The gear teeth on the old motor lined right up so that was nice. Took about 3hrs and all turned out well. For someone mechanically inclined it's doable enough.
