I bought this item as replacement of original part that failed after some years of use. The fitting is perfect and works as expected. Do not doubt about buying this item instead of OEM, the part is made with good quality materials and assembly.

Exact replacement for BMW X5 regulator
Motor transfered from broken OEM regulator, however needed to manually pull cables to turn gear to get motor mounts to align (cannot turn from motor side w/o power) with new part. Needed to clear metal "tabs" protecting motor mounts. Not difficult, just needed to think about it. Also, note, the glass does not need to come out, just hold it in full up position with masking tape.
