Go with an OEM Delco, not this one!!

I bought this for my 2002 Envoy and replaced the original one. I started getting P1345 & P0014 codes (cam/crank mismatch & timing overadvanced). I brought it to the dealer who replaced my camshaft actuator (inside engine) for $1000. Codes came back. Turns out, it was the Dorman timing solenoid the whole time!!! Replaced it with a DELCO unit and the truck has never run better. Do your research before buying this - it got bad reviews on [@]. GO OEM with this part!

CEL showed a P0014 code for my Saab 9-7x (GM 350 platform) indicating a bad Variable (exhaust) Valve Timing Solenoid. Took about 20 minutes to replace. Car runs much smoother now and gained about 1 mpg. TIP: Replace the serpentine belt at the same time, since you have to remove the belt to remove the power steering pump to remove the solenoid.
priced too high

Clogged ports in original part causes unnecessary or missing/delayed timing changes affecting performance. I never had an error code, just occasional stumbling and stalling.
This part appeared identical to the factory original and the performance was back to normal immediately.
The part in my vehicle is directly behind the power steering pump so while the VVT was very easy to remove and replace, I did need to remove the belt and PS pump to make enough room to pull the part out of the engine.
