Don't buy from advanced Auto parts
This part description is a lie you need a very expensive special tool to install the CV joint boot, also it is not a split boot it is one piece and requires taking most of your front wheel assembly apart to get it on. Most of these for sale by advanced Auto parts all have the same description but show pictures of vastly different products so don't trust any of them or be prepared to return it. I bought one and the box was missing the grease that is supposed to come with it and it contained a used CV joint boot (I'm pretty sure an employee at the store took the parts out of the box and replaced their CV joint then put their used one back in the box) even after getting a new one I realized it still wasn't what I oreded which was a split boot and it didn't have instructions in the box like it was supposed to, so I went to return it and after showing the employee in the store that the part # on the box and online match but the description online is different than what the box had written on it, he blamed me for not buying to correct part. Also if your confused why I gave this a 5 star rating it's so people will see it because 1 star reviews get pushed to the bottom and advanced Auto parts has made it pretty clear they don't read their own website so I'm sure they won't notice.

I could not find the split universal CV-boot on line by myself so I used the chat line help feature. He looked the part up and told ne the part number to use, he was sure it was the right one I needed. Guess what? your right,the wrong part was sent to me, now I have to drive 30 minutes to turn it in at a store or I have to pay the return shipping to send it out. This rates about like a McDonalds drive-thru kid putting the wrong sandwich in your order and you don't find it till you are 15 minutes back on the interstate. I wanted the split boot so I DID NOT have to pull the wheel assy. Thanks helpline !
