Great idea, but a misleading diagnosis leads me to believe i
I picked this up yesterday just to see the capabilities of it and how it compares to a manual test with multimeter or going through readings on an OBD2 reader. As I said, I really like the idea, and I was hoping for the best from it, but since electrical systems can be so complicated, it ended up leading me in the wrong direction and I wasted a decent amount of time testing components that I didn't need to. Fortunately, it was my car that I was working on and I have alternatives, but an amateur mechanic who doesn't necessarily have a lot of tools at their disposal may end up wasting not only time, but potentially quite a bit of money from believing a false diagnosis or misinterpreting the reading as an absolute truth rather than a general area to look into. Could definitely be improved if the labeling was changed and made a bit more specific.

Simple but effective way to test your charging system
I keep these in most my vehicles. You simple place the probes on both battery terminals and you can test battery with the car off and then health of the alternator with the car on and running. You can also leave it connected while tightening the alternator tensioner and watch the alternator output go up or down on older cars
