Dorman Position Leaf Spring Shackle Kit

Seems like high quality and very easy to install.

Decent material, worked alright on 2002 2500hd. I chose to put both bolts towards the frame. Top bolt was too long and needs to come with a washer or two. Tore up the paint on the shackle and holder. Took an hour and a half to cut to size. seems solid though and did the job. Bushing was very tight into the leaf spring but with patients goes in. Overall not bad, did the job, just get a couple of washers for the top bolt.

These are a perfect fit for my 2001 Silverado 1500 and look identical to the stock ones. I'm not sure why Dorman only lists them up to 1999, but they fit and worked perfect on my truck. I did not use the leaf spring bushings because mine were still in great shape, but they are identical too.

I had the issue of I needed the shackle and lead spring bushing, but this website says it doesn't fit my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. I read in these reviews that they fit 99-06, I can confirm this. The bushing looks high quality. It was very tight in the leaf spring, but I was able to press it all the way in with enough patience. The shackle is well constructed, it is identical to the OEM part on my truck. My only complaint is in the fasteners. The supplied nuts are top lock, I would have preferred either a hardened washer to go along with it or a flanged top lock nut.

Perfect fit, hope it lasts as long as the OEM. On line order was ready and waiting when I got to the store signature and out the door I went.
