Outside clamp head hits
The kit is very good but the outer clamp screw head hits when driving and popped the boot open. This side must have the low profile clamp.

Dorman 614-700 Review & Use
The Dorman 614-700 boot is of pretty good quality. The boot is made of a heavy material, and is not flimsy. The boot also snaps together very good. The Loctite boot glue, that come with the boot, is a very strong acting glue to bond the split-design .... the boot is extremely well-bonded, impossible to tug open, when using the supplied Loctite glue, The bearing grease also seems like decent quality as well, The weakness of the supplied accessories is the two clamps that are supplied ... especially the smaller thinner clamp.
After using the smaller thinner clamp on my boot repair, IT FAILED AND SNAPED when I was only lightly tightening it. Luckily, I had a second Dorman clamp of the same make and size and tried again, buy this time was very careful tightening both the Dorman supplied clamps. I will be replacing both clamps with better made NORMA clamps. The Dorman supplied clamps were not great quality clamps, don;t seem to be able to take much torque before snapping, and overall didn't give me much security that I had tightened down the boot clamps enough.
Outside of the poorer quality included two different sized clamps, this Dorman Repair CV Boot was a great choice to fit the torn CV boot on my 2001 Buick Century. I wasn't as easy to install as some had led me to believe, as the hardest part seemed to be just removing the original two GM boot clamps with out the needed cutting tools. Just don't try to glue the boot in one complete step, you'll get glue all over (and this is like "Crazy Glue", a mess to get on anything (WEAR GLOVES). Glue the boot a little at a time, and snap it closed, hold for a 30 seconds, and move on to gluing another small section!
Overall ... I would highly recommend the Dorman CV Boot Repair Kit (Just use better clamps if possible - and also it's a good idea to 180º stager the clamp screws from each other, to possibly avoid any possible shaft balance issues)

Sturdy design looks like it will hold up
I bought this yesterday and installed it same day on a toyota 4runner which is larger and probably easier. So you want to take the wheel and brakes off to have the best work shot at it. I followed the directions pretty closely. cut the old boot off. Clean the shaft off all grease need can of brake cleaner. Pack in the new grease just to the joint with a paint stir stick. rotate the shaft and get it in all round but keep the shaft clean. It comes in 2 halves that snap together. The smaller end is indexed so you can trim bits off to get to the size of your shaft. The rubber is sturdy and thick, a razor isn't the best way, I used tin snips and cleaned it up with a cut off wheel, be careful with this part. So then put the locktite which is a rubber superglue type stuff on One of the seems and snap it together and let it dry a few mins. Now youre ready to put it around the shaft. Once done prepare to glue the other seem snaps get them all lined up and pour on the glue, then click click each snap and ensure they all are snapped before it dries very quickly. Not crazy fast but in a minute. So now take a brake come back and the clamps, everyone dissed the worm gear clamps that come with it but mine were just fine. I used a turn handle and small socket to undo them and tighten on the boot. They also are the right size for the indents in the boot and that setup works well. Forgot to mention, best to be able to rotate the shaft, that way you can make sure the large end is evenly on all the way around the shaft, not cockeyed. Thats what the 3 tabs are for, grip with needle nose and pull the boot on evenly all round. Then put the large clamp on, no need to monster tighten .
And done. Its a sturdy thick rubber and looks like it will last. AZ had one thats thinner they were saying it broke in a year.

I would not buy this product again
Not universal, did not fix and the bottle of adhesive was dried out and unusable

Absolutely not
Complete garage. Directions say to glue half the boot, install, then the other half. But the boot material is soooo stiff it's next to impossible to get it to move enough to go around the axle. Directions werent too clear on a few things either. I bought 2, returned 1, and regret both
