My 2002 Wrangler Original Ignition Lock actuator finally gave up after 14 years, When it happened I knew exactly what it was . Luckily my Local AAP store had it in stock. Took 30 min to pop in ..works like a charm ...Tech tip Get a set or Tamper proof torx bit set, you'll need it to unbolt the Lock actuator cover and the Turn signal and wiper switch assembly.

Not Even Close to OEM. Couldn't Install
OK, there's a brass tab piece that has to be aligned behind a plastic edge before installation. On the OEM piece the plastic edge is very high, on the Dorman it is less than the height of the brass tab. I was not able to install it without the tab popping out of place. Tried 5 times. I reinstalled the OEM one 3 times with zero problems. I'm usually a fan of Dorman, but this is a fail. Look up an install video to see the tab step.

Hard to find at any local store. Once I got the part, I was able to get my car back on the road without a problem. The local stores need to start carrying a little bit more of the small, hard to find parts.
