More to it than meets the eye
This looks simple enough to install, but there is a lot more to do. I forgot that you need to remove the water pump to install this pipe. Advanced Auto Parts could make more money if they posted that info with the part.
example: to replace this part you need to drain antifreeze and remove the belt and water pump. Do you have antifreeze and water pump gasket? How bad is the belt worn?

Decent Replacement part
shape and bends are perfect for replacement, however it does not seal well on the re-manufactured water pump I also bought from advance. Going to try to find a gasket or something to create the leak proof seal I need.

Junk
Was not a good fit in the least on our 2000 jeep grand cherokee laredo. Based on the threading, on both the water pump and the coolant tube, when the tube is tightened down it does not even come close to being in the correct postion. Backing it off into the correct position leaves the tube too lose and it will leak coolant. I wouldnt buy this part again.

Perfect replacement at a low cost
WILL NOT LEAK IF PROPERLY INSTALLED!!! Like any threaded connection with pressurized liquid in it, you must seal the threads when installing. I use teflon thread sealer tape AND teflon pipe dope on any fitting such as this. Leakproof! Perfect fit! Great replacement when yours rusts out. Only wish they kept one in stock since we own 3 Jeeps with this motor!

I was surprised that Advance Auto had this part, since I thought it would probably be something I would have to get from the dealer for alot of $$$. I was skeptical since it was so inexpensive, and I had to order the part, but when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a perfect fit for my Jeep 2.5L water pump was built well, and painted black already. Great part, highly recommended!
