Dorman - Help Windshield Wiper Arm

After I had my windshield replaced where the tech had to remove and replace my wipers I noticed that the wipers were skipping during the next rain. Checking the arms I could see where the keys had fallen out that go in the wiper arms where they attach to the splined wiper shaft. This appears to be a common complaint. They were nowhere to be found on the vehicle so I purchased aftermarket arms from AAP. The first 42648 arm delivered didn't contain the key so Advance quickly shipped another,that one didn't contain the key either. Looking closely at both arms it's clear to see, based on the unblemished paint, that the keys were never installed when the arms were made in China. The vendor wasn't real helpful when I emailed them, they recommended that I contact Advance and exchange it for a third(probably keyless)arm. So, my advice is: Don't buy this item unless you can check for the key BEFORE you pay for them. I will add that the arm for the other side (a different part number) did contain a key and it was glued in.
