This is a soft plyable Composite Material.Not like the harder cheaper boots. Very easy to use. I would get the pliers that install the strap correctly

I installed these boots on a 2000 Chevrolet Metro. The shaft side of the boot fit relatively loose as compared to an exact fit boot, but still seemed to work fine once it was clamped down. The boots needed to be trimmed to fit my application which was easy to do using a SHARP razor blade. Overall the rubber seems to be soft and of good quality. I bought 2 boots and one did not come with any clamps which annoyed me, but I planned to use heavy duty zip ties anyway so I wasn't an issue for me. Overall I'd say this is a decent product.
