4x4 control lever linkage bushing. Use a flat head to push the sides in while pushing into place. Anything else (ie. hammer or pliers) will deform the bushing. Replace both while you are there.

Perfect fitment
Fixed my 2002 Dodge Ram so I could shift into 4-wheel drive. It's made out of very tough rubber. It's a little difficult to install because it's so tight but that's good. A little grease helps.
