Saved me from having to buy an entire radiator!
Perfect replacement for the original that snapped off the second time I tried to remove it! Saved me the cost of an entire radiator. You can use an 8mm Allen to get into the old one and screw it out once it breaks (and before), if you're lucky. Only gently, finger tighten the new one.
I recommend just buying this before hand to replace the deteriorated old one. If it's original, it will snap off.

did not work
this product did not fit my 1986 Ford F150 manual transmission w/ac. take your old part with you to compare! totally different design: this part has threads at the top of the shaft, on mine the threads are about halfway down the shaft that goes into the radiator. I ended up using the old one with some repairs.

Product works perfect
I bought this product to replace my previous "radiator drain cock" hence the original head had broken off during replacement. This drain cock is not only new but comes with an easy twist off feature that will make my next rediator flush much easier within the realm of taking removing the drain cock.

Screwed in just fine but drain hole slowly leaked.
This item looks pretty much like mine except for the top part. It screwed in easily and definitely will not tighten anymore. The hole for the drain now has a slow drip and it was not there with the old drain plug.
And now that I look at my old one, I noticed it has a rubber o-ring near the center and now for the life of me I cannot remember if the new one did too. If it didn't, that's probably the problem!
