The remote was simple to program to my Pontiac G5. Went to the dealership before buying this and they didn't know how to program remotes to my car. They stated it was "above their pay grade". This kit worked like a charm and I recommend it for other Pontiac G5/Chevy Cobalt owners. You can program 4 remotes to the vehicle so I recommend getting some OEM remotes online and program them at the same time. Be careful when disconnecting the programmer from the obd2 port, kinda gets stuck.

Awful, with one positive
The programmer did eventually program my remotes, but the car did not respond as indicated in the manual for the programmer. After two tries I eventually got the remotes going only to find that a trouble code has been set. I cleared it and locked the car up. I then found that my battery was completely dead four days later, and that random computer controlled items had lost their programming, including all 4 of my tire pressure indications.
After a day-and-a-half charge, I drove the car for an hour and things appeared to return to normal. I still have no idea what it did to the ECU programming. This one is going back.

Programming for 2008 Chevy Malibu LT worked perfectly in less than a minute. All buttons interfaced with the car as designed.

Worked on 3 after market fobs but did not work on oem but 3 out of 4 ain't bad new fobs work quicker than oem that came with car also set communication code but cleared ok with scan tool

So happy I could do this myself. Worked perfectly on my 2010 Chevy Malibu. Domestic cars and trucks can be Fob programmed by the owner for peanuts compared to imports. My co-worker has a toyota, one key costs him $500 dollars lol.
