    Comments about Dorman - Help Exhaust Stud Kit - M10-1.5 x 62mm:

Used these when ever I remove the catalytic pipe for whatever reason. The nuts usually rust to the stud and then it is harder to install the bolts while holding the exhaust in place. This way install the studs, then gasket, then catalytic pipe, then nuts. Far easier and worth the $7.

    Comments about Dorman - Help Exhaust Stud Kit - M10-1.5 x 62mm:

The computer system at Advanced Auto repeatedly states this is the correct exhaust stud for a '98 Checy Venture. It is the wrong size. I had to go to the dealer to find the m8/1.25 x 62 stud to rubuid this engine.

    • Q:

Why does this say it's an "exact fit" for my 2000 malibu V6 3.1 engine? It's way too big, doesn't fit the hole. Gotta make a run and return them now.. and then try to find the right parts :(

    • Q:

I need to replace the cat converter on my '03 Malibu and am fearful that the current cat. pipe to manifild studs will break if I try to remove the nuts holding on the cat. pipe. This happened twice before on me with GM products and I don't want to replay the nighmare. How likely is it that these studs will break? What can I do to make sure this doesn't happen? There is very little working room where the studs are so I am limited with what I can do. thanks

I recommend that you use some form of a penitrating oil such and PB blaster on the bolts. Let it set for a while then begin to remove them.
