the boot was a little big on the large DIA. side and provided clamp would not work so i used regular hose clamps and so far over 400 miles later no issues. also the bolt togather is a way better design

Just get the real replacement boot
This product may be good for emergency situations, but I wouldn't waste my time with installation. You'd be better off buying the OEM replacement boot and taking apart the CV Axle to replace, or purchase a replacement CV Axle. Tiny screws that have poor thread quality, extremely loose fit made for a poor seal with clamping bands that would not hold with poorly designed clamps. The exterior boot end (large end) was so loose that it nearly needed a fold to seal on the outer CV Axle hub flange. The clamps themselves were flimsy and hard to get a good seal. Coupled with the misshapen boot, it almost immediately failed. Don't buy !!

Bad Idea
This product might be good in an emergency to get you from point A to B, but it is a messy pain in the rear. The clips/straps are the absolute worst part of the kit. "Made in China", need I say more? Do yourself a favor. Take the CV joint/axle out and do it right! You tube the how to do it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

There is nothing wrong with the product, actually welded together quite well to my surprise. The problem I had was with service. I had to replace both the boot and a brake caliper/bracket. After returning home, I discovered the tech had given me the wrong caliper for my vehicle. Returned to the store, picked up the correct part and returned home, replaced the caliper, to then find that this cv boot did not fit my truck after trying to slip it into place for 45 minutes. Of course the store was closed at this point and I couldn't drive my truck to work the next morning...
