Much better than oem plastic!
After disconnecting the hose from water pump, I cut the 2 connected hoses as far down as I could to remove the old plastic Y. From there I was able to cut the plastic outer part to remove the short water pump hose. The old plastic on the inside of the hose can be removed and the hose can be reused. I didn't want to have to remove the hose from the heater core and risk messing up the T connector also, so this was the best option for me.

Was a life saver.
The flimsy plastic factotry "Y" snapped while removing the heater hose while changing water pump, in it's defense it was almost 20 years old. Luckily I stubbled across this while trying to find the factory replacement, in my humble opinoion I believe that it was a lot easier and less expensive then the factory option. I did not cut the hoses like others have suggested, I simply broke the plastic clamps and pulled the barbed ends pout with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Perfect fit 2002 GMC Yukon Denali
Plastic 't' out of the water pump started. Found this part in stock. This part is aluminum. Fit and finish are fantastic. Just cut the old hoses off the junction and fit this piece in. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a foot of good quality 3/4" heater hose to replace the factory section as it's not quite long enough to get a perfect fit otherwise.

Solved my heating issues with this fluctuating temps
Didn't even really know what the part was called but I gave the team an idea of what it may be and they said cool I can look that up sounds like a hose. Was actually a junction hose but they steered me in the right direction and the family can enjoy cool or warms rides now.
